HI all. I was wondering is someone can give me some direction. As the title says I have a 1999 GT vert. In fall I was washing it at a local car was and noticed when I was done the the ares where the top folds down into was wet. I didn't think much about it at the time since I was using a car wash. I just washed it using a normal hose and that ares got wet again. My question is, is there a common area or problem with this year Stang that I can look at first to help fix my problem.. Thank you for any constructive help.
P.S. I can't find anywhere where the water is running down.

Maybe a photo of what you're talking about.

I have the same car as you. Mine leaks where the top folds on both sides on the wetherstripping. Mine also leaks on the driver's side front where the top meets the area above the windshield. You can try to replace the stripping, but it may not do a lot of good. Every time you move the top it stretches the stripping at the bends. Just one of those things we vert owners have to deal with.

I will try and get some pics soon. I will try and be more accurate about the area where I am finding the water. It is behind the rear seat where the top folds down into when you put the top down. There is no areas on the top thart are wet where the top could be leaking or seaping. I am guessing that it is leaking where the back of the top connects to the car but I am not sure. Is there any drain tubes back there that could be clogged?

It's probably leaking between the top and the rear seal of the top under that plastic area that is between the top and the trunk. Would be a PITA to change out, but would be worth it. Mine doesn't leak there (yet). Not sure on drain tubes though.

Welcome to Vert Ownership. Once and a while not all the time mine will leak on the drivers side door window seal. one minute it will be dripping in, the next second it's all sealed up. Weird, just vert ownership and fun.
