Slow 5.0

I've been contemplating on supercharging my notchback. Ideally I would like to go the the Procharger P-1sc unit, but looking at everything with it, I just can't invest right now $4000, give or take. I have been looking in the summit catalog and noticed that there is a Powerdyne S/C for around $1700, with 6 lbs of boost. Reading more into it,from what I have heard and read it seems to be at my level for installation. but the only problem is that I would have to buy the ammenties to go with it, such as bypass valve, etc.
Does this seem like a good deal for a street driven 5.0L that rarely seen strip time?
Also if I decide to go with this unit, what would I have to upgrade internally with the engine? Everything is currently stock with some simple bolt ons with 40,000 + miles on a rebuilt engine, with forged flat top pistons with reliefs. To get more info on what I have look at my website under the mods page.
Thanks,
Benny
