-C&L upper plenum and strut tower brace install. I also cleaned and painted the shock towers as well.

Thanks to the suggestion here I went with grade 8 zinc coated bolts on the STB

Kinda hard to see here but I also made an EGR cover and fusebox lid piece out of aluminum

Here's a close up of the plenum and strut tower brace, I regret not painting my BBK TB while I had it all apart and will probably go back and do that soon

Honest answer? Pain in the ass

First thing I was advised to do is scrap their bolts and get better ones, I went out and bought all grade 8 zinc plated ones and ended up snapping the damn tap making one of the holes :wow:

The biggest pain in the ass is pulling everything off, setting the bar in place, marking one piece, pulling it off again, cutting one piece, back on, mark holes, off again...etc...etc

Take a look at the install instructions if you haven't already and you will see what I mean http://www.steeda.com/struttowerinstallMustang.htm

I ended up scrapping the tapped holes idea and re-drilled everything to mount with nuts and a lock of thread locker

Plus my great custom paint turned out to be even more of a headache when the bar hit my garage floor and got scratched (yes, it was one of those kind of weekends when nothing wants to work right)

But now that everything is done it does look sweet installed (except I need to repaint my BBK TB cause that now looks like crap ) and I am glad to say the bar has plenty of clearance for my upper plenum and CAI
