I am planning on buying a Vortech V2-SQ S-Trim supercharger for my 2002 Mustang GT, it says it puts out 8-10 psi, but I want more. Are there any pulleys that I can get to bring that up.

From what I hear, the smaller the pulley the more the boost.

You have a few options that you can do to increase boost. The stock kit comes with a 6.87 lower and a 3.3 upper I believe. You can buy the renagade lower which measures out to almost 8" which is the better thing to do for more surface area for the belt to ride on which helps reduce the amount of tention on the upper because you don't need to tighten down the belt so much to reduce slippage. The other thing to consider which is the cheaper initial thing is to buy a 2.95 upper and keep the lower status quoe which will also increase boost but remember there is more side load on the crank shaft because you will have to increase the torque on the belt when you tighten it to prevent slippage. I would recomend that when you go to tighten the belt use a torque wrench and set the torque to 75lbs for street use and if you go to the strip bring it up to 120 to 125 range and don't forget to reduce it so it doesn't have all that tension all the time.

I also should mention that the more your car's motor breathes the less boost you will see because of less restriction on the blower to push air through. If you are putting this blower on a stock motor hence higher boost numbers because of more restrictions not to mention the better the blower can grab air the easier it can produce quicker response time and run more efficiantly because it runs more freely at both ends of it's cycle.

The S-trim blower runs and peak performance around 35 to 40 thousand revs and after that you start to overspin the impeller and it starts to generate hot air and not to mention ur exceeding it's flow potential plus putting lots of strain on the bearings and seals.

I know this is more than what you asked for but it's food for thought for not only your blower but engine as well. :thumpupn:

Here are the specs on the V1 S-Trim(Loud) and the V2 SQ S-trim(Super Quiet)..

Will do 8-20 psi. maximum boost pressure., Flows 1000cfm., Supports 680+H.P., and the maximum impeller speed is 50,000 rpm`s. 72% Efficie  ncy

Got all info from www.vortechsuperchargers.com

I run the Loud S-Trim.Makes exellent power... :beerchug:

You might ask my son Tribalstang about his V-2/SQ set up (he was running 9 lbs of boost before putting on the innercooler which dropped the charge temps so he could put on a different pulley giving 10 lbs of boost)! His 5.4 DOHC Lincoln has four Mod Max Cams & forged internals with Richardson Addaptors to allow use of a Cobra Intake on the larger/wider 5.4 Heads (only way to close the tunnel hood on his 02 'Stang)! Last Summer he dyno'd 720 rwhp on a so-so tune (even at that and using full drag slicks he can't get it to hook up = 6.4 at 99.5 mph in the eighth). Gotta do something about hooking up before more tunning!
