Lol...some people are sour grapes....who cares? It's fun, but it's a website. Do you like what you did with your car? Yeah? Good-then you win. You have a car YOU like. There's always gonna be someone that doesn't like it-I think that's even more true for modded cars. I mean, everyone began at stock, so ya musta liked it cause ya bought it. Although I think stock usually loses to modded-not sure if it's cause someone spent more cash on it or what.

It's easy for a stock mustang to beat a mustang with a few mods. Particularly if ones photos are better than another.

And 87 Fox body restored can easily beat a 2003 stock cobra with just a few mods. It cost more than anyone realizes to restore a car. It's little things that cost money but no one actually notices when they see the car. It's like, "Oh, it's stock". A restored 85 mustang has some serious money put into it even if you do the work by yourself.

Between my new headlights, door panels, seats, carpet, paints, dyes, etc I have spent well over $1000 just doing my interior, and I am doing it myself. I haven't even had the back seat area re-upholstered yet.

Restoration is expensive. It should be acknowledge when a face-off is done.

I guess I am kind of in the middle. I really dont take many face offs that serious. I was pissed of at one loss but other than that it really dont matter. I do like what you said though. You like your own car and not everyone else will always feel the same. I am sure alot of people hate on my car because it has Nitrous. If you dont look at my site and see that I built my entire moter FOR Nitrous not just as a cheater then people call me a cheater. I have spent just as much to make my car run as fast as supercharged ones except I like the drivability of mine cause it is only an animal when and where I want it to be. I kinda think if people are going to get that upset over face offs then they shouldnt do them. But that is just my 2 cents

You also have the option of turning off the face offs, so you can't get challenged.

I tend to vote for the car that has the most work put into it. I feel that the degree with which someone is a true stang enthusiast, is the amount of fiddling they do w/ the car.

Anyone can just "buy" a done mustang, ie. Saleen, Roush, Steeda, Cobra, not that I don't like them, I love them. You know what I mean.

Even an older fox, stock but restored to a great lookin stang has a lot of merrit. It takes a whole lot of work to bring a stang back to its former glory.
I still have a bunch of stuff to do to my '89 vert. to bring it back.

Any way, don't take it to seriously. We're all fellow stangers. We all like different things. Just have fun.

I get a lot of shit about my car being ugly but I built it and I have to drive it not them. lmao i no all about this have left the site over this i no for a fact its more about the friends and the quick look if the pic is nice bam they vote, I lost once and it was a test lol i was correct so i dont anymore i enjoy this site because lets face it its different then anything out there and we meet enterresting people and get to show the car, Take my advise if it bothers you so bad like me dont even do it and dont even vote or use the judged version sound like a good idea, enjoy the other thing the site brings and move on. That "It's For Fun" excuse - you get tired of hearing. If it's JUST FOR FUN, why are there rules to follow? Why do you suppose people get pissed when the RULES aren't followed? It's because it's about competition and people take "COMPETITION" seriously. There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't do the hunt anymore or face-off events since people do it "JUST FOR FUN". If no one wants to follow the rules there's no point in doing do it? We might as well dump the point system for all the different events, dumpt the trophies and horses for the hunt and the face-offs. It's for fun so why track the stats right? It's just for fun so what's the point? Why do them?

It might just matter to the person doing the competition. And no one can tell them how to feel about that. They each have the right to bitch about the situation as they feel fit, and we get to respond to their comments.

People aren't gay for having an opinion that's different from someone else in the forums. For someone that has thousands of dollars in mods and repairs has every right to bitch and moan when they feel slighted. Face-Offs (competitions) are not about friendships, but the best car presented in photo format on a website. You should be voting based on that and not who you know.

The understanding comes from realizing that a restored older Mustang is just as special as a 2004 that's had a body kit installed on it (more cash has probably been dumped on the restored car). It's about what has been done and not just an external appearance. It's about the car, the quality and shots of the pictures and the layout of the cars website.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions no matter how wrong they might be. Trying to bully someone by calling them names if their opinion is different from yours is not right.
