quick question

Would anyone happen know if the thread pattern is the same on 96-98 shifters as the 99 and up shifters? I have the B&M pro ripper shifter in my cobra and i was wanting to order a custom shifter ball and they asked what the thread pattern was. They said that they normally deal with 99 and up and i didnt know if they were the same or not.Thank you.

On first thought, I would say it is the same.My friend put an 03cobra knob on his shifter in his 86.I will see if I can find one of my friends with a 96-98 if no one answers before that.

should be the same... I have the pro ripper and the stock knobs (00, 88, 93 cobra) some aluminum b&m knob and the hurst t-handle have fit mine with no problems at all
