engine swap...

I have a 77cobra II and it has a 351w, but the body is rusted alot...i just bought it and im thinking about putting the 351 in a 4 cyl 88 for only $200 that i found.... b/c of the rust. I was wondering if anyone thinks its a good idea and if it would be a lot of work, how much it might cost, and wat all might be involved b/c this is my first car project....if anyone has an opinion or suggestions feel free to put them out there....thanx

I have seen both of the swaps done, a 351 into the '88 is pretty straight forward. I would think the deciding factor would be how much work you want to put into the body work. If it was me I would go with the '88.

It is allot of work and dedication, but the great thing about Mustangs it how easy it can be to convert a 2.3 over....at least more straight forward than any other engine swap I've ever heard of. Keeping it carberated will simplify things, I'm keeping mine fuel injected :)
