I Have ranked 223 people and honestly try to rank people everytime I get on. I have only been ranked back 167 times. I would really like to get my car above the 200 mark. Can I please get some love back from those of you that I ranked. If i havent ranked ya yet I promise to rank ya back. I always do. :thanks:

I have ranked untold numbers of people, and when I look into people that I have ranked it still only shows 27.......... WTF??? My rankings suck too Yosemiddey.. :cussing:

when I get on i check who ranked me and if I havent ranked them then I do so asap. But not most of the peeps on here dont.

Each person uses this site for something diffrent. some just have a site cause people tell them to put pics up. got to keep that in mind. i rerank people like twice a week i come to the site mostly for the forums. that is why i was not so active in the face off we had. to tell ya the truth i spend most my time over at svtp cause that site has people that know a little bit more about what i am asking as far as tech questions. my rank sucks too. but you got to remember that there are point whores thats all they do.

I have ranked 573 people on this site and only have ranked back 183 times. Right now I am sitting at the 168 spot! I am trying just like you to get up in the top ranks, but some people just won't rank you back and you see that they are online. I just don't get it either. BTW yosemiddysam, I gave you a 10 and Mycobra gave you a 10 too! :devil:

Quick question. If I rank someone lower than their average, doesn't that HURT their chances to get into the top 10, etc? I'm kinda holding back from ranking because I see that some peeps have HIGH ranks whereas I'd only give them a 7 and hurt their rank. :(

Is there a FAQ or post on how the ranking systems work?

Just rank what you feel is right...car ranks are not the same as member ranks. Car ranks are just how you feel the car is based on the 1-10 scale...you won't hurt anyone if you feel they are a seven but there average is a 8.5 or whatever. to get in the top 10 in that catorgory it depends on how many ppl rank you...the higher rank will of course put someone there quicker but it will all come out in the wash...the member ranks are based on participation..hunts,face-offs and voting on others hunts and face-offs....Did this help at all :beerchug:

Yeah, alotta people put there pics up, and focus on other things, like Hunt pics or the forums, or some log on like 1nce a month, I always check my list to make sure I rerank.

I am terrible at getting on and ranking those who have ranked me... but I dont sit here as often as I used to.... got alot going on... maybe take that into consideration :) ... some of us just dont spend alot of time online.... I will try and catch up on my ranks asap tho.

Hey, I gotta be one of them bastards you folks are bitching about. I don't get a lot of time on the website to run around mis-ranking cars for the sake of being one of the top ranked cars on gotstang. If I have extra time it has been spent doing sigs, posters and now the Calendar with Nicole for the folks here. I already see three of my sigs posted here just for this new thread.

If you're ranking people just so they'll rank you back, what is the point in it? Your doing this to help yourself and not really looking at the cars or being fair with what you rank them. I have seen people bitching at others in these very forums because one voted them a 10 and the person voted back a 4. My car is not a 10 but I have people giving my 87 a ranking of 10. If you rank my ride and post that you did asking that I return the favor it's likely not going to happen. You didn't rank my ride because it's nice or you liked the car, you want the ranking back only. What favor did you do me? That's just wrong. People seem to look for ways around the system rather than following the intent of the feature.

You can't tell me a stock 2004 V6 with stock rims and tires could ever be ranked higher than say a car like Blown93feature, LXExpress or anyone else with a heavily modified mustang. There's no way a totally stock mustang (an 87 or 2005) can be a 10. It's stock for crying out loud - it's a 4 or 5 at the very best. A Stock 87 however thta's been completely restored should be higher than a stock 05 right? The 87 is almost 20 years old. The gripes here are the same types your read about the HUNT, participating in a FACE-OFF, or even the tournaments. It's done incorrectly by the people who participate in these things.

I hang around gotstang.com to chat with fellow mustang owners, do some graphics when people need it, share a few experiences & have a good time with the folks I interact with. That's the fun of the site. There are quite a few of us that don't care who has the highest ranked site or has won the most face-offs. That's stuff based on popularity and not fact of car status.

I rank cars as I feel they deserve. Not in hopes of getting ranked back. And yes I totally agree with you on the stockers not getting a ten. The only people that get a ten from me have as much if not more money invested in the car than what the sticker price was. Or if it is an older one how well it has stood up/been taken care of. You read too deep into it. I appreciate those of you that help us with sigs,technical advise, calendars,etc. etc. It takes us all to make got stang a happy place.

So not true Crimson. I open each and every one of the websites and check out the car and it's mods. If it is stock, I will rank it alot lower than I would a sweet '87 or '67 or '05. I feel it is my obligation to look at them all and give them my support, and yes I do hope that they in turn will return the favor. I do not rank because I have to have the points but the points are nice.. I know you put in a ton of work here and it is VERY appreciated from me... My bitch is that if I take the time to check them out, and if they are visiting my website, then they can at least rank the car while they are in there.... Why even have rankings if they are not being done....???
