Ride ownership question

So yeah, I'm the noob of the week, but I was wondering how ya'll control peeps getting on here with a ride they don't own? Is there a verification system or some features you can't access until you prove the ride is yours?

Its happened a couple times that people take pics from ebay or other sites and claim the cars. J is really good about removing them though.

I busted one person on here doing it and J took care of it! The sad thing is, I beat the guy in a face-off and the car he posted was a 2001 Bullitt with $65,000 worth of mods :devil:

Who really cares? I figure there have to be some 13 year old kids masquerading as Mustang owners on the board, especially with 3000 plus members. A wannabe Mustang enthusiast with nothing but a bicycle to ride around on is better than a Civic owner any day. I would rather see them be honest though...

Well, the site I came from had a pretty major problem with it and eventually they required verification pics. Here, I could see posers standing in the way of making top 10 on the leaderboard or something. Now, if no-one was listed in the leaderboard ranking until they completed 5 different ( or even specific ) "the Hunt" categories, it would possibly eliminate posers getting in the way of real rankings.

Anyhow, I was just curious so I could get my ride verified if it were necessary and on to locked features. :)

heh - I saw loads of that on the other site, but the motivation was to get rank points with the posed ride and pass the points off to their REAL ride by doing "faceoffs" in the gamerooms. That way they'd have their ride on the leaderboard. http://www.rankmyride.com/images/s_/13.gif

I am pretty sure I own mine...walks to front door and looks...Yep still there along with the Harley Expidition clone.

I am also real sure on its power...when I drive her tonight to dinner I will verify it again to be sure. ;)
