The car has about 83k, the motor has about 10k. Maybe 20k was a bit much, so I have thought about it and I could drop it to 18k. now keep in mind this has a 4k worth of stereo, 4k paint job.

If I don't sell it, the car will probably get new custom seats front and back. I definately wont break my heart if she doesnt go anywhere.

No offense, but you should take people's reaction as feedback and adjust accordingly.

$4k worth of stereo and $4k paint job does not automatically translate to $8k over standard price.

$20k for a '97 just isn't going to get you much interest. Reconsider your asking price and perhaps you'll get more positive responses.

Just a suggestion, of course... It's your car and you ask what you want for it. Whether it sells or not, well, that's another story. ;)

Ok guys, cars still sitting and it doesnt deserve to be, it needs to be driven. Dropped price to 16k, let me know if anyone has interest

have you considered parting out the stereo and selling the car without the stereo at a more reasonable price?

a while back people had somewhat shocking reactions at your asking price... Keep in mind that most people shopping for Cobras are doing so for performance...and the only audio they're concerned about is that of the motor.

The market dictates what sells easy, and what does not. Try dividing the stereo equipment from the car, for starters, to allow an easier price break on the car itself.

I did think about that but I would rather the whole thing go together. If some one is looking at the car without the stereo, I could drop it down to 14k and I can give them all the old pieces of the orginal stereo

Not dissing on your car man, I hope you know that. Just thought I'd make suggestions to help it sell. :)

Good luck man...It is a nice car and it deserves a new good home.:beerchug:

don't think that at all. I am just at a point where I am confused what to do with this car. As much as I love it, I go back and forth on wanting to sell it. I do want to move on to a new project but I have poured a lot of heart and money into this one. I just hate it that I am not driving it more and having a hard time with being a 3 car family. I always bought my Cobra to drive as my daily driver, so it sucks not being able to do that.

Maybe tame it down a bit, so it looks more stock and less showcar... To reduce the guilt of driving it daily. ;)

Just a thought.
