I broke down and put insurance back on the stang. I'm gonna wait until we get snow to take the insurance down to comp only. (I put it to comp when it blew out the spark plug)

I've got a nice f150 for the winter. It should do the trick, like driving a couch around :)

I drive my cherokee during the winter and tarp on the stang. I just need to get the new tranny in the jeep so I can drive it again.

Yeah... see it doesnt snow in Houston. But when it hasnt rained in a while, and it finally does, it's like driving on ice.

I keep minumum on mine all year. But that will change. I will have to keep full coverage on it due to the fact I have already 10,000 dollars in motor and trans.

well, I keep full coverage on it when I'm driving it, otherwise I drop it to comprehensive only (not even liability)

skip, does your insurance company know of the mods and have pictures and recipts? If not they will not cover it or they will tell you it is covered then not cover it when it is wrecked becuase "How are they spose to know" belie e i have seen this happen to a lot of people. So i keep 18,000 in coverage on my stang so if i throw it in a ditch or whatever i get a check for 18 no questions ask. my insruance is sky high cause of that but whatever. I am thinking about putting my stang down for the winter and giving it a rest. but its so hard to cause every once in a while there will be real real nice week where you are shooting your self for driving a pos mazda <Puts flame suit on> but i am about to buy a jeep so its all gravy.

with 10g in the motor I would get that car appraised for stated value. You don't need to keep full coverage during the time you don't drive it just comp. I have'nt driven the stang since sept and I put a wooping 700 miles on it this year. I should put the sob in gear this winter while on blocks and put another 700 just to feel better :silly:

I will soon have to put my Baby to Sleep for the Winter, but not till I see a Snowflake, I drive it till then. The weather is to nice to even think about it yet, but who knows what next week will bring!!! I have full coverage all year long and only pay $675.00 a year.
