It's actually a 3 part question... 1. Who drives this car? 2. Where is he from? and 3. How many races was he reputed to have won?

I know, I know!!!I should hope so, lol. :nya: You've heard the story a few times... But to catch everyone else up, this is the car that was the object of my first 'crush'. I fell in love with the sound of that 427 monster, and then watched him decimate everything else on the track.:j:

OK, I don't know who it is,
But, the car did change from a '69 to a '70 in the two pictures that you posted! Is it the same car?
I know, girls aren't supposed to notice those things! :beerchug:

It was good that you noticed that! The darker purple car was actually on display at a car show, not really in racing trim at the time... He had quite a few different looks due to trading paint, changing sponsors, changing makes, and just plain changing his mind, lol.

Hmmm, let's see. He's been racing for right around 40 years... He went to nascar around 95... The town he was born in has the name of the state he's from in it... He was more than likely a Packer fan too! LOL

I used to watch him every weekend during the summer... The good old days! I was probably 9 or so, and my grandfather was gabbing with him, and I was leaning in looking at that beautiful 427... Thawump, rumble rumble... Tricky dicky cranked it up to scare me... It worked, LOL
