Would an 18/10 rim fit on the front of a 97 gt?

Nope...don't think so. Believe it's to wide to be able to turn from lock to lock.

Do you know how bad it would rub during normal daily driving?

Just about any turn or curve they will rub... I know an 18x9 with a 275/35 barely clears the inner fender well.

Edit...the car with the 18x9s and 275s has a 2 inch drop.

The tires on the \m are 245/45/18. I check tirerack.com and the show that 245/40/18 will fit, but they don't say on what size rim.

Well, I found out tonight they do fit. I just sold them to a guy with a 97 cobra that is lowered 1.5 inches and the didn't rub with both of is the car going through turns at high speed. Actually they ddin't rub period. Sweety! Now I'm one step closer to getting my 18" Mach 1 rims. I can't wait.
