Now keep in mind that it is extremely hard to make dark colors into silver or white. They tend to come out like primer.

I'll honestly tell you I don't like black rims without some kind of polished or chrome lip. It just looks to much like the hub cap just fell off when they get dirty.
The only time I like black rims is on a black car... black on black baby. same goes with white rims.. I only like them on a white car.

It really easy. Just isolate the area you want to work with, make a new layer out of it. and mess with the hue satuartion, and brightness contrast.

Make a seperate layer out of only the parts that you want to change color. :thumpupn:
