CAI Question....

I want to get one for my 05 and have only found 2. Steeds and bbk, Steeda sez a tune is not an option that it has to be done. BBK sez to change the throttle body...has anyone installed a CAI without another mod??? I am uncomfortable with the tune and changing the throttle body due to the warranty. I don't want to void it.....

JLT @ http://www.jlttruecoldair.com/ I have heard nothing but good things about his product. I have talked to him several times, Jay is very customer oriented. Extremecapri is taking his Cobra to him and getting a CAI at no charge, Jay is using his cobra to develop a CAI for the 94-95 Cobra. I also know he has worked with one of the local dyno shops to get the CAI for the '05 to get the best HP numbers and drivabilty. :thumpupn:

I have a JLT installed on my car. I noticed it breaths alot better, especially on the highway. Should get you a good # hp for your money.

My understanding is that the '05 has to be tuned no matter how small the mod, if it effects the engine that is. The price of technology.
