Ok here's my delima, if you wanna call it that..:D. I have the itch to purchase a second Mustang namely an 85-86 GT or 87-93 LX 5.0 Notch, but I would also like to make the 98 I currently have quicker. So here's my question should a leave the 98 as is, minus the 4.10s it's gonna get regardless, and get one of the above mentioned Foxes and focus my need for speed efforts there as they are lighter and the 5.0 is cheaper to mod, or shell out the dough to make the 98 quicker.

Gee guess I should start looking for a notch then..:D If these people still have it I can get an 81 Notch roller for $125, but the catch is it has no title. Anyone know how many hoops the state of TN maked you jump through to get a lost title?

I would go the other way and work your 98. By the numbers the mod motors are a lot less comon ( fully worked I mean ). Everyone that wants a track only car goes for the notch. Brake the mold and build your mod motor.

Well no turning back now.. I pick up my new PI heads, cams, and intake tommorrow for the 98. Now I just gotta get a set of long tube headers.. The fox will come later.

mod the hell out of the 98. It was your first treat it the best. I would love to get a 5.slow i was loking at one that is for sale a few weeks back. Would love to get it. only like 6500 bucks brand new paint, rims, and built motor with extra 302 fully worked with a stroker kit. still thinking about it. but i have more cars than parking spots so live with what ya got and make it what ya love

There's no hate there I am sure, it is a common moniker when refering to the 5.0 motor I have even heard ford master mechanics refer to it that way. Shoot I call it that too. ESP. when a ricer asked me what I had and wanted to race. ;)

Depends if the 98 is your daily ride. I always thought it was easier to have one car and put mods on that. But if something happens to that car you have to find someone to take you to work and everywhere else. I'm glad I decided to get a truck because this stroker motor is taking more money than I had planed.
