Does anyone know the weight of the 5.0 5spd sn95's? And since were on the weight subject, anyone know how much I can drop by removing the a/c system?

Why would you pull the AC? You may not need it now, but you could on a trip, a hot day or even if you move to a hot climate. The value drops without the AC.

It doesnt work anyway. I dont even use it in my other vehicles! Id rather cruise with the windows down anway. I also dont care about the value either. The book value on the car is crap anyway, and I dont plan on selling it.

According to the Mustang 5.0 Technical Reference and Performance Handbook a 1994 GT 5spd wieghs 3380 lbs, Front 1927 lbs, Rear 1453 lbs, Distribution 57%/43%. Not sure how much you would drop from removing the A/C, 20-30 lbs maybe. :thumpupn:

You'll top 30 lbs for sure. The condenser goes, now your radiator will work better, the evaporator, the lines, the compressor (heavy item in a bad location). Now ditch the power steering and get rid of the accesoory bracket altogether, or get yourself a March power steering bracket to replace the stocker. Probably every bit of 50lbs+ total.

Go to the Corral and do a search, I'd bet money there will be a post where a guy has done this and weighed all the items.

Im gonna go to a rock yard and weigh it there. Ill ditch the ac when I pull the engine over the winter.
