For you guys and gals that have or have had black rims. I was wondering what your experiences with them were like? Do you love em, hate em? Did the paint chip at all? Thanks.

Most people never have issues with the paint chipping or flaking off. I personally like them, but it depends on the stang that they are on.

Solid Black with no chrome does not look that hot. They are generally used on black mustangs and make the cars look washout like an ink blot. Chrome wheels bring out the shine in the black paint to lookers eyes at least. Chrome also adds a look of prestige and swiftness to a black mustang. P010PONY are great because they have the chrome edge with the chrome center cap which breaks up the black on black washout look.

There's an O5 next to my job that is black, with solid black rims, and limo tint on the windows. Even the emblems are black. There's nothing to give you a feel for the curved lines of the car. Nothing shiney to reflect an appearance of depth in the paint. It literally looks like an ink blot moving down the road.

I was thinking of getting black rims with the polished lip for my Stang which is gold. Not sure yet.

Check mine out! I have black rims w/chrome lip and I have not had any problems with them! I get compliments all the time on how people like the black on black look! I would definitely have to agree with Crimsonblack though, all black on a black car is ugly, too much like an import! And you don't want your mustang to look like an import!

I love mine! Get lots of compliments and they are pretty easy to keep clean. No problems with paint chipping or anything.
