Just a question. If gotstang closed down, what would half of you do with your day? I know I would be lost. I would probably be surfing the web blindly and probably end up on some bs site like marthastewart.com or even cardomain.com!!! :tmi: Basicly what I am getting to is...what does everyone think about a "donation plate" for the site. Nothing mandatory but just a place to go to donate some money (when you have it) to benefit J and maybe some of the others that work so hard on the site. I really love this site and spend a lot of time on it. I know I would donate some jack when I have it. Any feedback? :gso:

i agree... j does need some cash for this site, this is the best car site out there.. not to mention JUST mustangs, i have been through cardomain.. it sucked ass.... j puts alot in here. as well as some others, who spend their time doing sigs, and helping with the site and mods on the site.. they all do an awesome job. i would be happy to throw some cash in... after all, like someone said.. i would be lost without this site, just think, i could be buring my brain watching tv... haha

I agree J you do so much on this site for all of us I would gladly donate to you!!! Alot of sites have a place to donate money to help the site, so why shouldn't we.

This site is tons of fun and I would be lost without. I have met some pretty interesting people, not just the posse members others also. Gotstang has far more potential to generate some bucks for J to offset costs than through member donations! GS is now a mature established website, with a targeted captive audience - and very attractive to companies wishing to market to the Mustang community! Banner ads and sponsorship of things like the Ultimate Hunt, Tournament, Car Show, etc. would be an easy "sell"!

I'm not suggesting GS become overly commercial - that would screw it up - but it could certainly generate more than enough funds to offset hosting and development costs. It just needs someone to "market" it.

i think i would help donate if the site went down but this is no longer a site that needs us users to pay for it. If j needs or wants money from this site he will add banners like he has done in the past i think to add a donations link on the site gives new users a bad outlook on the site like we are just looking for money. if it is for donations only the fact is that we still have it on the page and that is pretty much like asking for money. If j needs money he can ask the admins to help out then other users. i would donate but no need for a link. just my .02
