I never really take my car on the parkway or expressway, but when I did, last week to go get keys to a crane at a job site, (i work for my dad's contruction company), I get up to about 60, no problem, then as I try to get it up to like 65-70, the car shakes alot and it seems like the car is topped out almost, and I have to really step on it to get past 65mph. Does this happen to any of you guys?

I can't claim to know what the problem is, but my 2 cents:

have you been on the highway since installing the 3.73 gears?

in addition to that...when was the last time you had an alignment? you said you got new rims; right?

I don't have 3.73's, I haven't had an allignment since I got the wheels put on.

I thought I saw you had larger rear gears...oh well

I would get an alignment done if you haven't had one lately; though it can't be your whole problem....for 50 bucks it's worth it

My drove like crap on the highway after I got my tires rotated...I even had an alignment not that long before that (maybe 3-5 months)....and turned out I needed one after they did my rotation because the car went perfect after that.

(oh yeah, and it did not nessasarily pull to the left or right; just shaky and stuff)

It runs fine until I get up to like 65, then whenever I try to go faster its really sluggish at accelerating and it shakes when I accelerate.

sounds like it's running out of fuel perhaps, check your fuel filter and fuel pump, could be lieing down on you

Its bone stock too, maybe after a few mods it will run better. ie. CAI, TB, , UD Pullies, Cat-Backs

couple of things to look at. try a complete tune up, pvc, fuel filter, plugs, air filter, wires, cap and button. then if it is still doing it, maybee look inside your maf sensor, take the housing apart from the unit and look at the 2 wires inside. if they are dirty, clean them with a tooth brush. very gently!!!! that might help ya out. :beerchug:

Today I figured I would fix it, my way. I got onto the parkway, and floored it, and it flew up to well, for fear of cops on here, very very fast. No problems, I guess maybe there was just someweird thing, I dunno it works fine now. Its weird as hell... :hmmm:
