Z3 Fenders

Alright, here's the deal.
I'm looking to buy a pair of Z3 steel fenders online and I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with non-factory replacement body parts.
The first seller is on ebay, called Autobacs1. They're $170 w/out a warranty, so basically they are "as is".

I realize they probably won't fit as well as the factory made ones, but these are metal so they can be tweaked some.

THose fenders are junk. I woulden't waste my time with them. A buddie of mine bought them for his civic because they were cheaper than OEM honda by over 100 bucks. everyone made fun of him for it. he eventually got JDM fronts for his 4 door. If you're looking to replace a dammaged fender just go to a junk yard, if you think those fenders look good....... well I guess it's your car :D

Agreed. If it isn't OEM it's not gonna fit right. Trust me I work with this with aftermarket sheetmetal 5 days a week (work for a bodyshop) and 99.9% of the time major modifications/adjustments have to be made to just make it look decent.

I certainly hope you guys are wrong. They look pretty good for offshore stuff. Won't know for sure until they get bolted to the car though.

The stock look is incredibly boring, just like everyone else's Mustang. There are people who build Cobra clones, Saleen clones, Roush clones, '00R clones, Mach wannabe's; what's wrong with some subtle fender vents? Especially in a sheetmetal fender?

Well, the Z3's are on back order for who knows how long, plus I don't want to chance it. I just got a brand new original Ford Fender and it fits like a glove! Does anyone know where I can get a pair of Cobra mirrors? Ford Racing said they're on back order also...
