Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”
RIP Uncle George, your hard fought battle with Cancer has now ended....and know that you won that battle against cancer....Your heart may not have been as strong as your mind, but know that you 2 daughters and your son along with your wife will be taken care of. We will miss you George, but know that you will always live on in our hearts, our memories, and in our dreams.
George Turnbull, my uncle, passed away shortly after I left his hospital bed on Wednesday night...he leaves behind 2 daughters (20 and 19) and a younger song Jesse, only just entering his youth years....He fought Colon Cancer for 4 1/2 years, having survived Kemo numberous times, several operations and still surviving after more than 29 tumors were discovered in his lungs....He passed away in his sleep after discovering monday that he had severe heart disease and 90% of his arteries to his heart were clogged or diseased.... Please pray for his wife, daughters and son as they go through this hard time in their lives.... :goodbye: :(
