I just had 17"x9" Cobra R style wheels, (no pictures yet) put on my 1998 GT. They are great, but I notice one thing, when I turn close to all the way to the right, they rub, but when I turn left they don't rub. Is there someway that I can fix my tires from rubbing, because I didn't pay all this money to have my tires rubbing.

There are rack stops that you can install at the expense of turning radius. I wouldn't sweat it, the rubbing will be infrequent and at low speed.

Its just annoying because I have to parrallel park all the time, and it makes a really loud streaching noise. If I was to lower my car, would that make it worse, or not affect it?

seems a little odd to me that you are having rubbing issues with 17x9s on an SN95? what tires are you using? 255s? 275s? Do you know exactly where they are rubbing?
And depending on where they are rubbing, lowering the car could indeed make it worse.

I'm running 245s, it only rubs when I turn right.

That would lead me to believe that something is amiss...
245's must look pretty stretched on a 17x9? See if it's just rubbing on the fender liner. If it is, the make sure the liner is secured properly.
