RULES
** You must upload 2 different angled images on each claim item you submit
** You will not receive the points on the claim until 20 people verify it
** No multiple claims per item
** YOU RECEIVE 1 RANK POINT FOR EACH CLAIMED ITEM YOU VERIFY AS REAL OR FAKE
** YOU NOW RECEIVE 1 RANK POINT FOR EACH CLAIM ITEM SUGGESTED (the form below)
** To avoid invalid/fake claim votes, try and get your entire car in the picture.
*** All claims taken from the INSIDE of your car will be made INVALID.
The two that stand out are constantly being abused by claimers lately and the people who validate these BS claims are just as wrong and at fault for this getting out of hand. I can understand an accidental uploading of the same pic but when 75% of the claims you submit are the same pic uploaded twice, thats fucking bullshit! If your going to do the hunt and take part in it do it right. If your going to validate a claim and cast a vote for real or fake/insufficient then do it right.

Well, I guess you're yelling at me for the inside the car pic. I didn't realize that until after I had posted it. Oooooops.... If J wants, he can take that claim off, I can do it again outside the car...sorry...

I was nt yelling at your or anyone else, Just expressing my frustration with how the hunt claims are being submitted and voted for and against. When ever I vote against a claim, i leave a message, but tonight there were over 70 claims that needed validating and they were all by the same people. Most of the pics they submitted were the exact same ones. Thats what prompted me to post this, and its alot easier then responding to the majority of there claims individually. on the flip side. This goes both ways though. There are alot of people who are not properly taking the time to check out the pics submitted and apparently if they cant see the claim in the tiny displayed pics, then they vote fake with out opening the pic up to really judge it. This pisses me off to no end to because there are people that work hard to find the claims and the least they could do is properly validate or invalidate a claim. I leave comments for people all the time when there claims are getting voted against because people wont take the time to properly validate or invalidate the claim. Im hoping that people will read the comments when they see that a comment has been made so that they wont vote against a valid claim with out first verifying it, and they wont vote for an invalid claim especially when the rules are not followed.

There are 4 problems here
1. You must upload 2 different angled images on each claim you submit
People are submitting the same pic twice. You can tell cause all you have to do is drag your cursor over each pic and look at the url path at the bottom left of your browser and see that its the same file name for each pic. Others try to be sneaky about it and rename the second pic but you can tell its the same pic.
2. All pics taken from inside your car will be made invalid. Problem is, this isnt happening and its up to voters to make them invalid but nobody is.
3. People are voting real on obviously fake/insufficient or claims or claims that do not meet the rule requirements
4 people are voting fake on claims that are real. ( most likely cause they dont take the time to open the pic and try to go off the tiny little displayed pics.

I just checked out the HUNT area - my first time messing with it. I was kind of disappointed with the photos. People are indeed submitting the same photo more than once or doing one shot a bit closer than the other.
Different Angles means snapping pictures from two seperate places that show the car at different positions with in the front of the store. That means one from directly in front of the store and another from the left or right side of the building.
That does not mean taking a second photo zoomed in closer or moving the camera a few inches left or right and snapping another one. There are to many photos in the Hunt should not be allowed. The rules are not being followed.

On more than one occasion, I have voted insufficent on a claim, and left a comment - only to have a defensive PM sent to me yelling at me that isn't it just supposed to be for fun? (inferring that I am being too serious or something??)
Well, yes it is all about having fun, but as I pointed out to the people who responded like this was that it wouldn't be any fun if everyone just blindly approved every hunt pic without checking the photos, or ever leaving a msg (although it seems that many people indeed do just that?) - part of the fun is also checking out the hunt pics, and looking for insufficient/fake claims, and making comments.

Yeah i know what you mean with the pissed off comments in the guestbook. The person who was the biggest offender of the rules left me 4 or 5 messages and his wife left me a message. Neither of them could accept responsibility for what they did and the one guy could have left me 1 message instead of 4 or 5 so i just marked them as spam and didnt give him the satisfaction of a reply. Since then ive noticed he may have several accounts on got stang and hes using his accounts to pad his face off reccord by challenging the other stangs screen names. May also be trying to get free decals out of the referal system too. Now i cant say they are all his cause i dont have actual physical proof, but they are all from the same small town, some of the stangs he claims are his are or were on his site at one time and hes set up at least 2 accounts for himself and 1 for his wife and 1 for his kid.
Now as far as the hunt goes, Im getting tired of seeing the BS claims people are passing off and others are letting slide by as real. Its gonna get to the point that i probably wont participate in the hunts anymore, and i know that the person above is probably waiting til i post a claim so he can use his accounts to vote it fake and leave negative comments. We ll see. I may test my theory here shortly.

It's true, the entire site is for fun. But there are many that take the different areas very serious. The fact that there are rules means the creators of the website take it serious too. look at the time it takes to do the photos correctly. Drive to the location, park the car; get out and take two images from a different angles. You dol this for ever location. You return home load the images to your computer and adjust said images, then upload them to the HUNT area. It's work and it's time consuming.
It's pathetic to even think that someone has multiple names on the website to pad their stats. All the votes in the world aren't going to get you squat. Imagine the laughter when you click on a site with the most votes and it's just a plain old mustang like mine. Everyone knows ya cheated and have no respect for you anyways. The worst post you get constantly in your guestbook is "Nice project. Ranked ya, now rank me." Duh???
I went through the HUNT yesterday and left some nice messages to those who can't follow the rules and I don't care what they post in my guestbook. They just look like morons posting the same photos twice or can't understand the claim and post something only half right. The real pisser is the ones voting them as real. Man...

I accidently posted a pic that was "inside my car"
(it was raining so I only got two shots, and i didn't realize/remember the rule until after I posted my claim.)
I was glad it was voted "real", because it was; and clearly the same day, same car; same handicapped spot.
sorry If it f-up, but I feel I did deserved the claim.
I hope my claim didn't upset anyone

For me it really isn't about whether or not the shots are real or not. It comes down to following the rules. No photos from inside the car and they need to be different angles. If people aren't following some of the rules then you get the mess the Hunt has now. Stupid photos with people trying to be what they think is funny. The same angle on shots with one being a closure shot from the same spot.
The reason for the rules is everyone having to do the same stuff. Get out of the car and stand in two different places to get the shot. For some of those shots that could be a pain in the butt. Rules...

I totally understand that loading the same picture once in a while it happens ... I have done it ... But i think this happening every time is bull... i know that me and my friend (kara, you can see her blue stang in alot of my hunt pics) go out, have fun and take two picture from different angles it really isn't that hard ... i think that voting real on the ones that take one picture and use it for both angles kills that whole idea and fun for the ones who do it right... why is it any fun for us if every one gets voted real... why even try ....is the way that is it becoming...

I aggree with you call on this.
-I just felt like crap when one of two shots I took was from inside the car...I only took two shots. Shouldn't it be ok though if you have one from inside your car that shows enough information, and another shot outside the car? -two from inside the car is ridiculous, but is one of two not work when the second one back ups the first one?
either way, I only did it once by accident; I do follow the rules now that I know them. :)

Anyone can snap a shot from inside the car. Takes no effort at all. By getting out of the car and taking shots from two different angles (not stepping one foot left or right and snapping another one) it means that someone is willing to play the game by the rules. If you do it with someone or another couple of cars it can be a fun event. Some people are acting like these points are worth money or something. This is suppose to be for fun - and even games have rules.

I never look at my points; only my car rank:)
