Ok sdo I was sitting around this weekend (doing nothing thanks to the hurricane), and I got to thinking. In the classic spirit of my black 05 I wanted to do some custom graphics. I really like the look of the 69-70 Mach 1 and was thinking about doing satin black on the hood and tail light pannel like the 69-70's, but then I realized that satin black wouldn;t look all that impressive on a black car. So I thought more about it and I came to the conclusion that I like the graphics stlye of the 69-70's, but I needed to update it for my black 05. That's when I got my bright idea. What if I do the same style graphics, but with carbon fiber? Any comments or suggestions?

I dont know know how much difference there is between satin black and carbon fiber. Another thought that comes to mind, doesnt the carbon fiber stuff give off a green hue?

Take a trip to a sign store or something like that and use their samples. As stupid as it sounds, ask them. They work with different kinda of signs every day and you never know, they may have a couple tricks up their sleeve...

matte black would look better, its the kind of color or type of the 03 mach 1 hood stripe... the flat black color would look good... but its just my opinion..

I think I'll probably do that. I'm going to get my windows tinted this weekend and the shpo I'm going to does decals too. I'll see what they recommend and let you guys know how it turns out.

You should just paint your car YELLOW and use the black decals J/K. I think that the black on black would look better. It looks good on the Mach 1's.

No way. My last vehicle was yellow. I came to my senses and bought black.

A guy in a local mustang club here in vegas has carbon fiber racing stripes. They look pretty badass...SNMA (http://www.snma.net) Take a look at his 05 for an idea.

I'm not a fan of Carbon Fiber, every rice rocket around here has a carbon fiber hood and it just turned me off to that whole look. I sayd Matte Black would look awesome.
