Need a nice deep exhaust for my ride.

I have a 1998 Mustang GT, its an automatic. I am currently running stock everything, and it really blows. My first part for my car that I want to buy is an exhaust system. My friend has a 2004 GT, manual, he has the Borla cat-backs on his car, and I really like how that sounds but I don't want to copy his cat-backs. I was going to go with the Flowmaster American Thunder system, but they aren't really that deep and they are too loud for my area. I want to get a nice deep sounding exhaust. I heard the Bassani X-pipe is good, but too kept with emission I am getting Converters on it. I don't know if I am messing with headers, if I do it won't be for a while, but I don't know what cat-backs I want. What is nice, non-droning/deafining cat-back system? I would really love some help.

Do you guys have Magnaflow Cat-Backs, or Magnapack Cat-Backs? They are a big difference.

I have to keep the cats for emissions, plus the only cat-backs flowmaster has for my year is American Thunder, and its too loud.
