I am sorry to hear about your loss as well. God sometimes uses trial and tribulation and great suffering to draw you closer to his son Jesus Christ. Use this opportunity to get to know the revealed will of God in Christ Jesus.
I know how tempted we are to have our perception of what heaven is ,and sometimes we are only prone to give it any sincere thought when things like this happen. I think that's why they happen. But more than this, Jesus calls us to himself everyday, to live our lives for him, to accept him as Lord and Savior for our sins, to turn from wickedness and sin and self-agenda, and to bring us into eternal life forever. This is man's entire purpose according to his Word.
Whenever someone dies at such a young age, it reminds us all how truly short our lives are. We sometimes see it as unfair, though we can never be in such a place to judge God. The Bible says man life is as a vapor. His memory is nothing. Therefore, the Book of Ecclesiastes says a man should live all his days to the Lord and not to himself. For our end is nothing, if it is not in Jesus.
I will make a point to pray for you guys as well. Cause I think that's where the prays really need to be directed. I will pray that you and the immediate family find your own direction in the Son of God and in his shed blood and that there would be peace and joy in knowing him personally and intimately during this tragic time.
In Him,
Trey
