I have a dilema on my hands...Im going to have my mirrors painted while the car is in the shop tomorrow....So I figured I need to spice up my interior a little as well...

Im going to paint my door inserts, center console and shift bezel....I just don't know what color...The decision is between Blue or Silver...My seats are Graphite so I was leaning a little more towards dark blue to match the exterior of the car...what do you all think?

its really easy...just simply remove the pieces.....then you can wet sand if you want for a really glassy finish but honestly I prefer to not sand them and just clean the pieces with alcohol....that way they are still shiny so that it looks nice but not so shiny that it doesnt match the rest of the interior panels....Basically.....remove the parts, use rubbing alcohol to clean them really well....use paint from autozone etc and a big can of clear coat.....simply spray several light coats on the pieces (3-5) then spray on some clear coat (3-5 coats) let it dry and reinstall :beerchug:

my body guy is going to paint my door inserts...I decided to leave the dash alone, I dont want the interior over done and I think the door inserts will look nice....so im getting the mirrors and door inserts painted by him, that way I know it will match perfectly

Do the interior pieces to match exterior, like I did mine :)

Go to your local paint supply store and they can mix you your exact body paint code. They can put it in an aerosol can. Thats what I did!

check out my site. The only way to go is with a pro. even though it is easy to do yourself, it won't last. it's not pretty when that stuff starts cracking.

i painted my old stangs interior, cardomain.com/sublimestang, check it out, or on my site on the last pages... it turned out good, and its a nice look ion the inside, as for ur interior, i say go blue, the same as the outside, or u could do something really unique, blue with silver metallic, that would be awesome dont u think?

I would use an adhesion promoter, not just a good cleaning with alcohol. Bull-dog works very well as a tie coat
