I looked at the results today and was a little disappointed.
The 3rd place car in the Roush category is NOT a Roush. Its a nice car, but it doesn't even have any Roush parts on it.
So how does a non Roush take a place in the Roush category?

You should PM J, I bet he can resolve it. :beerchug:

Maybe J can put a code up to restrict cars to their categories only.

OR, when people vote, they could take the time to look at the cars before they click ? ? ? ? :ugh2:

I've seen some show cars never driven in rain voted "best daily driver" So; this seems to happen often enough. Designated categories could help (such as how the years are designated; other bits of info from your profile other than the car year should help)
Besides that;
I like Charlie's idea of the Ultimate Car Show. It reminds me of the way the shows are at Fun Ford; Saturday peoples' choice, and then Sunday offical judges.
From MOTM:
I would like to see an online car show that is judged by a select few. Meaning, J would select 5 member's that would judge car's and remain anonymous. That would be a real good show to have. I'm not saying do away with the current set up. Just add a show that would be "The Ultimate Car Show".

That would get a little tricky for folks like ponygirl67 and others like her that have two or more mustangs that are in different eras...
I'm sure J considered something like that already since accidental nominations are being made all the time. I am not sure how he could get it to work for user accounts with multiple vehicles... Hmmmm.... Any ideas??

I agree, In July, my GT was nominated in a V6 catagory and won.

Just my brainstorm (maybe could use tweeking and fine tuning: :hmmm:
The profile should allow up to three entries (for 3 cars) for data: example; year would have 3 fields, first one mandatory; the other two optional if someone has addtional cars. [ENTER CAR 1 YEAR, ENTER CAR 2 YEAR etc]
By adding in 1-3 car years in these fields; it would open up the same car years categories that person can be nominated for.
For each car you should be able to enter up to 3 (maybe) subcategories chosen from a drop down menu [with blank option] that matches your stang. Each car can designate up to 3 subcategories.
Example car #1
-Roush
-for show,
-go etc.
and maybe car #2 is just 2 sub categories leaving the unused field blank.
-v6
-daily driver
Just as with the years; that person will have certain sub categories unlocked/opened for nomination. get the idea?
I'm sure this would take a bit of work to set up; but it would limit the nominations to categories that person could logically fall into/qualify for even if they have multiple Stangs.
I wonder if it would be too much work to get this set up and working though....
It would require everyone to update their profile when the options/new format is released; if someone didn't update their profie, then it would make it impossible to get nominated- however, i'm sure enough time and notification can be sent out to alert people well in advance. And I'm sure if someone want's to nominate someone; and can't then they can let that person know they do not have their profile upated and should fix it to become eligable

now that I think of it; multiple cars on one site with one rank is kind of a problem in general; isn't it? I mean; which car do you rank? I suppose we all vote considering both; or the better Stang- but shouldn't each stang have it's own rank? Mabe the website it self could have a split option for muliple cars; each car would be nominated and ranked separately; but yet share the same user/profile/Stang Lover.
Brainstorm web page creation:
EXISTING WEB PAGE:
PAGE 1
PAGE 2
THEN there should be an option besides adding page 3, you could also add car #2, page 1, page 2 under that car.
so; top right directory:
CAR 1 NAME/DESCRIPTION
-PAGE 1
-PAGE 2
CAR 2 NAME/DESC
-PAGE 1
if no second or third Stang exists; then web page directory appears the same
PAGE 1
PAGE 2
