I would deff. not do that. even if I had a car made for it. Racing for pinks is just stupid. There will always be someone who is faster than you, and then you are the one left to walk. :looney:

i think the show is a good idea. takes street racing o the track. it even gets into the negotiations of the race such as runnin with/without nitrous, or how many car lengths people get. last night a guy blew his ride up but won and drove the other guys firebird home. it was funny :dance:

Have to disagree with this one - IMO it COULD have been a good idea if it had been professionally done and promoted safety and racing on the track, not the street - instead it was complete trash - and glorified and legitimized street racers (and who is that lame host - how did he ever get a job on TV!).

I think it is very irresponsible for a show like that to show street racers racing a hastily prepared 10 second car with NO safety gear whatsoever - cars that fast should have a cage, harness, driveshaft loop, etc. - yes there might be plenty of 10 sec cars running around on the street without safety gear, but it sure is not the message a TV show on a racing channel should be portraying!

Oh, yeah, and apparently it's a hoax anyway - according to posts on some of the chicago boards by people who were involved, the guy who "lost" still owns his car! Yet another lame reality show that has no place on SpeedTV

They ran one episode at a track about 45 minutes north of where I live. I was at the track that day for a TnT. One guy broke his axle and lost then his kid was sitting there balling cuz he thought he was gonna get the car when he was old enough to drive. So the guy who won sold it back to him for $100

That's admirable of the winner to do that. Gotta wonder though why they didn't show the exchange of titles, and then even show the kid crying and them selling it back - would have made better TV than the rest of it!

I lived in Cedar Falls for 10 years. I lived right down the road from that track they filmed that show at. Really disorganized show, but still funny to watch.
