plan on putting a 460 in my stang soon an was wondering what bellhousing/scatter shield i need to get to match it to my 5 speed it has an auto tranny mated to it right now but i want my 5 speed on it. thanks

I'm not sure on the bellhousing but that transmission in your car now won't handle the power of a 460, especially if it is modded.

agreed, a 302 trnny will get ripped apart by that engine youll have to find a matching manual tranny for that engine or suffer through a wonderful auto lmao

Im not sure if its possible, or if they even made one, but check out the old torinos and big cars that had 460's in them from the early 70's. They might have had a 4 spd in some of them. Check it out and see what you come up with!

Look around, you're not going to find a T5 behind a 460. A performance automatic is the only viable option. Whatcha gonna use the car for? Daily use?
