his eyes were closed it looks like... but who runs with closed eyes?

if they were open, at that speed, if someone or something goes in front of you about 10 feet ahead you WILL hit them.

Because unless your hurdling you are taught to look at the track , if you look up you straighten your body, creating wind resistance....

at lot of runners look right at the ground in front of them for the first 50 feet or so, he didn't even see her till the last second.

i ran cross country in high school and i can atest(sp) for that. u don't pay attention to anything but the ground DIRECTLY in front of you
