Normal Temp

Would someone help me with this question..I was going to replace my T-stat with a 180 deg. but the guy at the parts store said it would throw off the computer, and that i should replace it with the stock 192 deg. t-stat. This is my first stang..anyone here got the right answers, cause i'm lost :hmmm:

95 GT 5.0 / standard

As far as I know swapping in a colder T-stat won't affect the computer. At least it dosen't the 4.6.
