View Full Version : painted front calipers on the 05 today

They turned out all right. I still have to clean up the rotors and the brake pads from some of the overspray. It looks like its going to rain here though so I hope it doesnt effect the paint at all. If it does, i guess i ll be re doing them next weekend.

Thanks I used the duplicolor Brake caliper paint but didnt like the color so i put a second coat of high temp yellow engine paint on them to get the color to match better. I think the paint was plasticote hot rod yellow rated at 500 Degrees F. The base coat from duplicolor had a 900 degree F rating.


What the.... is the back drums or did you just not paint them..

The rear is disk also but I just did the front. I will be doing the rear when the weather returns to normal.

For the over spray on the rotors, get going really fast and slam on the brakes, should scrap off most of the over spray :-)
