on pics from the inside of your car.
No more.
If a claim says your car in a traffic Jam... that means you get out of the car.. and take a picture.. lol. thats why its worth 55 points.
I mean anyone can drive around with their camera in their lap and snap pics of your car at every location.. I want to see some effort....
Anyone else agree?

Give me an F'N Break J, your gonna give what 10 points to someone for putting cereal on the hood, or 100 points for standing with their significant other and your gonna make us get out of the car in a traffic jam. O.K. You obviously want a few less living members on the site.
Dude with the traffic jams here, I could get out and take a shit before I even need to get back in my car.

Fine but lets see more hunts for us rural people. I am 5 hours or so from the nearest parking garage, etc. I can't do half of the ones for places like 'home depot', target, starbucks, etc. without burning a tank of gas and a day.

Some claims are going to be like that.. that's why it's a hunt..lol Hunt's aren't easy, or shouldn't be anyway. My wife had to physically stop me from driving up for a picture of the statue of Liberty...18 hours up there. BUT, I've seen it from Manhatten AND Jersey...it's a speck in a photograph..lol You could get it with a zoom, but then your car wouldn't be in the shot. I started thinking if it wasn't clearly obvious it might be voted insufficiant, so it might not be worth the trip.
As for burning a tank of gas and a day, what better way to spend a day than behind the wheel of your Mustang? :)
Where abouts do you live?

A traffic jam here is strap your ass in cuz if you don't you may end up through the windshield, or put your bullet proof vest on cuz some dumb ass may pull a gun on you.
Don't get me wrong in most cases I would have to agree with you, but I wouldn't want anyone getting out on the highway, or main streets and taking an actual picture of their car in a traffic jam. It's 55 points not $55,000. I mean really your giving 100 points to go out in your driveway with your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend and getting a pic, but your only giving 55 points to have someone get out of thier car on a highway with people that can't F'n drive, not looking for a pedistrian on a highway. I've seen traffic here go from 75 to 0 in 150 feet, then back to 70 in another 100 feet, then back to 0 again. I agree lets make this shit hard, but let's not have our new friends put their lives on the line for 55 points. Just because your traffic may last hours, does'nt mean everyone has the same oppurtunity, let's make it safe. I mean your bitching about that when I can roll a damn lawnmower up to my car, put a box of cocoa pebbles, take a picture of my headers and get the same amount of points and never leave my driveway. Where's the logic?

wow J, for some reason I thought you were in the suburbs of Chicago..
Here, deep in the heart of middle tennessee, it's actually mandatory that if you exit your vehicle while still on the road, you HAVE to take a sh-t!
It seems that its 'vent week' here at GS.. I 'went off' in some other HUNT thread yesterday.. But, to paraphrase Tom (93ramvert)... we all love you J!

You got your rural hunt. "your stang with real live cows" More rural hunts would be good, but leave it up to a guy from Chicago to think up cows for a rural claim..... A lot of the rural claims on here like the barn and the farm tractor are already filled up thought. You could do a "your stang with a guy named Bubba" or "Your stang with rednecks missing 2 or more teeth" (must have one man and one woman) or "Your stang next to a redneck chick with a mouth full of chewing tobacco". How bout "your stang at a shotgun wedding" (bride must be showing)...... or "your stang in a trailer park" , "your stang with someone who has seen a UFO" "your stang with a tornado." (that one i would even stay inside my car for) I got a million of these. I can go on for days. The funny thing is that us got stangers who live in rural areas can get these claims really easy just by going to see our relatives or something.

Yes, here too.
I think it's important to keep all of these safe and legal. I wouldn't encourage ANYONE to get out of the car in a traffic jam. Period.

Seriously dude. Cut the BS. I don't live in the middle of a bunch of podunk hillbillies. It's just to damn small to have an fn starbucks. Try being a little more diplomatic.
I mean if there are going to be hunts like the statue of liberty, how about some other regional ones? Your car at the grand canyon, your car by a naturally growing cactus, your car by a forest service sign, etc. I'm up for the cows but ours just went out in the pasture this evening and may or may not be back for days. I'm working on it!
Some states are not as populated as yours. Things aren't close! I have no relatives that live anywhere near a starbucks, major sporting complex, etc. And yes, I can drive 5 hrs to some of these things (and am planning to go to phoenix in about 2 weeks on business) but I am not going to spend my entire vacation running this stuff down in traffic. Maybe I have this prioritized lower than you do(?)

BS? That was a joke, none of those red neck hunt claims were meant to be taken seriously. The only serious suggestion was to reopen some of the more rural claims like the barn and tractor. Also, I was just stating that you asked for a rural claim and got cows.
You may not live in an area surrounded by hillbillies but they are everywhere. I mentioned it cause ive seen em here. I do not have any relatives in this state though. My wife and I arent even from NC. This place has got a little of everything, ya just got go out and find it. I agree with you that regional hunt claims would be cool cause i dont think im gonna ever get to NY to see the statue of Liberty. However there can not be a whole bunch of high point regional claims for one area or it wouldnt be fair to 99% of the rest of the members. When ever i suggest a claim, i try to make it one that everyone can accomplish and have fun doing too.

See thats the problem. ALot of people are suggesting claims that they already have pictures for.. instead of ohhh maybe this would be fun... etc..

Digital Cameras leave date stamps if enabled, you could require that and say the pic has to be with in a week of the date it was submitted.

I suggested the "A pic of your stang's reflection in another stangs paint" I did'nt submit for that very reason. I had already taken the Pics, and it looked really cool, which is the reason I suggested. In this case you may actually have to leave the drive to find another clean stang, unlike going to the cabinets and pulling out a box of macoroni and cheese to put on the hood.
Please don't do a pic of a bos of Mac and Cheese claim, hehehehee that would be heheheheeh cheesy.
