I'll start by thanking my son, you know him as SDRMustang1, for intorducing me to this site. I own two ponycars, a '66 coupe and a 2000 coupe - both are red. I bought the '66 about 11 years ago and it has been a work in progress for most of that time. It's a 289 V-8 backed by a C-4 and 3.00 gears. The interior is black standard. My 2000 coupe is a performance red 3.8 liter V-6 with a T-5 and stock gears. I've added a K&N filter, Magnaflow performance dual exhaust, FRP limited slip differential, KYB shocks and struts, and, most recently, we installed a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter.
I love driving both cars, because they're unique in their own ways. I use the '66 for show/parade duty, but it loves the highway - we call her classic vehicle 66, because of her license plate. I bought the 2000 on April 6, 2000, and first registered her on April 17, 2000 -- no special reason. She has over 92,000 miles and runs very strong. SDR1 and I drove Pony2k to Nashville last year for the 40th anniversary.
I look forward to putting pictures of both cars on a website soon. Happy Mustanging! 66pony2k
