Well people, I didn't get that 11.20 pass because I was thrown out of the strip(let me refrase that) I was escorted out to the gate and was told not to come back for thirty days.

I ran a 11.80@117 and as soon as I was down the other end I was pulled over and told that was it for me and that I need a roll bar or leave the car at home. I told them that they better talk to ford because they are making cobra verts that run in the twelves with no roll cage and I guess they are producing unsafe cars then :fu: I didn't even get to stay and watch the other cars run or get my money back for that matter. I also asked them what the diiference is between my car and a person on a rice rocket that was going 9.48@150 with only a helmet on his bean bag? :cussing: I will be e-mailing them to let them know just how mundane they're being and that for a track that has done porely financialy this year, that Iwouldn't be suprised to see them hit the red list and go under.

There has been a ton of complaints about this track this year and I believe it's far from over :ranting:

I have a video of the run and as soon as it's edited I will post it. I also forgot to mention that the ihra sactioned tracks only allow a 13.49 pass or slower in a non roll bar(cage) vert! :loser:

well that sux that they kicked you out and were dicks about it. Here at our local track if you run an 11 then they'll tell you to put a roll cage of course, but they at least let you stay the rest of the night, and allow you to watch the rest of the races.

I have some friends that run low 11's and they require them to get roll cages, but they have so many people go to the track that they don't keep track of whos car runs what. So most of the time after they run a few passes they just go home and come back next week.

No, I wish though! I'm running an old school A-trim blower. I also changed pulley sizes and that threw me off to so I was going to dial it in and run down the time and that's when all hell broke loose. I Think that I will make a billboard and put it in the front entrance that shows the count down until I can return with my face on it :silly:

That's right on all accounts! Last year I ran a 11.56 and they never even looked twice. The rice up there lately has been hidious

The rules thing is fine. When the track official lets someone else go quicker and stay with the same safety equipment deficiency there's a problem. There's always two sides to every story, but I wouldn't fin it too hard to believe some discrimination took place in this instance.

Regardless of the rules, If there not being followed consistently, how can they be enforced half-assed. 30 Days is a bit harsh, how bout until a cage is installed. I'm sure Joe could get one in this weekend if he really wanted to. I agree Safety is #1 and 12.8 is faster than I'd wanna be going in any car with no cage nevermind a vert with no cage, 11.8 well I could dream I could put that kinda money into my car. To me I think Joe is more pissed about how it was handled, not that the rule was enforced. They should have at minimum let him park his car as an observer and watch the rest of the runs. Unless they wanted him to put a cage around himself in case he fell outta the stands. Joey you should wear a helmet at all times like the tarded kids.

Joe got kicked out!!!! Joe got kicked out!!!! I'm bustin Joe.....I told Charlie last night that was going to happen on your 1st run. They suck up there with there rules. I remember when I used to take my Firehawk up there on Wed. nights, there was a GSXR 1100 Turbo that used to run up there. You should have seen this guy when he took off from the line. The bike was all over the place, looked like he was going to wipe out every time. NO wheelie bars, just a helmet and he was running low 7's high 6's and he was laying rubber half way down the track. He never got kicked out. Now thats a pisser.

Anyway, I'm sure you would have had your low 11's if you could have made a couple of more runs. 11.80 is still something to be VERY proud of. Congrats JOE!!!!

Again even this is pushing on my limit, 13.5002 is kind quick for an open sardine can. Well from what I understand the New Age verts are a bit better than the foxes. I really hope they did better with handling of the 05'. Anyway If you can afford the mods to go faster, add the mods to go safer. I know it sucks, but damn it's really gonna suck when you pull a Tony Danza and your head takes the blow cuz your rag top frame crushes beneath you.

Ok, here it is in a nut shell! This track has different rules for for different events it's what ever works for them! Last year at ffw there were verts of all kinds running whatever and because it's big dollar pay in and payout then it was ok.
I don't have a death wish by anymeans and it dosen't matter how much of a veteran you are at this anything can happen at any time to anyone. To put it into proper prespective who has more of a death wish me at 11.20 if I made it or the guy running on two wheels (as dana put it) in the 6's or 7's all over the track with nothing around him at all?

I wasn't mad at the intent for safety but the pollitics that's behind it and the fact that the guy on the quad that escorted me to the gate "said that it wasn't anything personal just that joe the tech guy was having a bad day" :wow: wtf

I will put a bolt in 4 point bar if the car dosen't sell in carlisle. I agree there should be rules on how fast you are aloud to go, but this is ridiculous. The cars now a days are a lot faster and safer than years before when the rules were made.

Now, if you have a shitbox that is capable of 11 second passes, then yes don't let him run. As he is a safety hazard for himself and the other car out there.
