Would like a GT...and this stang is at the place I bought my 3.8, and they gave me a good deal on it. So what do you think, should I trade my V6 for this?

they want $7999 for it with 77k miles. They wanted $8500 for my 98 V6 when I bought it last year, and they went down to $6100, so possibly I could get close to a straight up trade with them since my car has 20k fewer miles.

They didnt want to go down low enough when i bought my stang i have now....so i started driving away, and in that time the salesman talked to the owner, and then ran down the street to catch me, LOL.

If you are don't mind the auto then go for it!

Do a PI swap sometime and push over 260 rwhp :)

Im not an auto buff so I would pass personally....car looks nice though, it screams for a saleen conversion, Forged internals, custom catback, tinted windows and a Procharger :)

Not much on the hood my self. I'd save up a bit more and get an 99+ PI GT

the hood is ok, I guess, but the extra pony emblem in it would have to go.The non-p.i. autos were S.L.O.W., but it would be a better starting point than the sixer.

That hood reminds me of the SLP hood for Camaro's. I personally don't like it, but then again, it's your car, and trust me when I say you'll not make everyone happy with the way your car looks.

I'm telling you, do a split port swap on your car for $450 and spank that POS. I didn't realize you had a old tired 3.8. A non-PI headed auto is NOT a good starting point for a build.

p.s. I hate that particular hood also.

hey clinteastwood i have a set of PI heads and cam for a GT if you end up getting that car. i'll sell you the heads and cam so you can swap them out and get that red demon moving.

Just send me a message if your interested in the heads and cam.

if its an even swap, (3.8 for the GT), payments stay the same, little to no outta pocket expense to get the car, then do it. other wise dont, wait till u find a 5 speed

do NOT listen to the voices of doom... That GT is BEAUTIFUL! AND, that's a great deal! Automatics are fine! In fact, if you're ever thinking of racing it you'll be glad it's an auto. A few mods to that car and you'll be absolutely screaming!!!
In my dumbass opinion, there's nothing to think about! :thumbup:
