Hi All,

Just wanted to know what is the best way to weight reduction. I am planning on running on some track events and need to get rid of some weight.

Thanks,
Matt :ugh2:

The rear seat delete looks pretty cool.

Realistic and relatively affordable stuff would be:

Tubular K member
Tubular A arms
Coilover kit
Ditch power steering (I won't)
Aluminum driveshaft
Aluminum uppers and lowers
Ditch the dogbone

That's about 200lbs, do the sensible stuff mentioned above as well...

Loosing weight for the strip isn't as beneficial as getting some good traction for low et's. Disconnect the front swaybar at the track to get some good weight transfer.

over priced ... you can make your own for MUCH less money.

Here's what I've done, AJE RR Tubular K-member, Summit Race Seats (most comfortable seat I've ever sat in), Rear Seat Delete, Fiberglass Hood, Chunk the Spare ...

I like the look of those seats but I'm 6'2" and 250 lbs so I'm a wide body and I wonder how comfortable they would be for me.

Oh, and make your rear seat delete, it's easy. You could check out what I did with mine on my webpage. I actually picked up weight by doing it but it comes out in about a minute when I go to the track :)
