you do know that mustangs have a clutch cable, not a hydrolic clutch right? if you want a stiffer clutch feel get a stiffer pressure plate. I put a spec 2 in my car. it's a fraction harder to depress, but nothing noticeable and it grabs great.

3.73s should be adequate for a 5-speed....I'd gear toward 4.10s in an AODE.

Joe, does that clutch chatter at all? My king cobra slips like crazy, even brand new. I need more hook for the 347...but still be streetable.

3.73 or 4.10 s maybe sumtin else i dunno post what you think
my car is a 5 spd im gonna have to buy a new clutch soon lol i race too much
what is a good cheap clutch i can pick that is still good but in the low to mid price range im wanting to replace the master and slave cyl aslo i want my clutch to be extremly stiff....... I wanna get sidewayz lol
Then after i straighten all that out im gonna probably order a short shifter looking for one cheap so if anyone has a used one that would fit my car that would be great...

Yeah there is a little chatter when it first engages in first and reverse. but as soon as the clutch pedal is released it stops. it's a pretty good clutch I'd reccomend it. I planned on picking up a nice fidanza flywheel and new clutch later on, but my OEM took a dump on me, the pressure plate side friction material said holla back and blew off. If I would of had the extra 300 bucks I would have a nice al flywheel right now :(

are you even old enough to drive? I think my sister in middle school could build a better paragraph than that. :D The king cobras are nice, but from what i've seen they wear quickley. the just about any stage 1 clutch (spect, ect... ) is an OEM replacement, which means it's only margionally better than the stock clutch. I picked up the spec 2 because it's for cars making moderate levles over stock and want a nice clutch. I believe it's rated to handle up to 480 ft/lbs so you could also run the spec 2 wich a nice blower set up.

You should be able to go with the 3.55 gears without having to change the speedometer cable. The 3.73's are recommended by Mustangs and Fast Fords, but it comes down to doing the extra work just to jump from 3.55 to 3.73.

I know a buddy of mine who use to own a '98 GT. He put 4:10's on his car. He was whoopin the shit out of T/A' and Camaro's. Then he said, ever sence he put the gears on everything started going down hill. I'm gunna go with 3:73's on mine. If i went with 4:10's i wouldnt get shit for gas on the highway!

the spec 2 is rated at 520 ft lbs (crank) so it's enough for me for now. for an NA mod motor car, definitely go 4.10s.
