I had a guy, willing to trade me an '98 Mustang with a new PI headed 4.6 in it, plus remainder of warranty on new engine, for my '89 Mustang. At 1st, I thought about seriously doing it, but I really like my old Notch. So I guess my question is, would any of you do it? It was going to be an even trade.

No matter what anyone here tells you, it all comes down to what you really want to do. You are going to be driving it everyday not us. I personally would keep something with all my hard work put into it.

All the love, blood, sweat, tears, cussing, etc. You put alot into that car. Personally, I wouldn't.

There is more to that car you have. It has heart. That car owes you it's life.

Would you trade in your wife, whom you have worked with and gotten to know, and love for a younger more vibrant model.

HMMM BAD ANALOGY. Anyone want a wife?

Keep your baby

This is my 3rd wife..........very, very bad analogy. I have had my old Fairlane through all of the marriages, and it doesn't get jealous of all the time I spend with the new ride('89 Mustang).

I wouldn't do it, a fox in as good a condtion as yours is very hard to find. You can find nice 98's all day long.

A stout 347 for a PI headed 4.6? No way. Even after the trade was done you'd be looking to get into a new edge body. Been there, done that. Get yourself a new edge body and get to swapping if you need something "new" ;)
