Intake spacers

Hey guy's I've got to change out my lower intake gasket, I was looking thru the mustangs unlimited cat. and they have spacers, what exactly would I gain for the $60 they cost. And what else if anything would I need?

You'd gain a little bit more runner length, not good for high revving motors, okay for stock. Their selling point is heat isolation between the upper and lower intake. Problem is, in around town every day driving, the underhood heatsoak will make the upper just as hot with or without a spacer. Not a mod I would spend a dime personally.

agreed, waste of money
