Why is it that everytime you say you are a highschool student on one of these sites people just dont give you any respect. I know there are some stupid highschool kids but there are stupid people in everyclass. i do not go around and screw with other peoples things and ****. Just why is it that no one likes kids that are in highschool that just want to learn about there cars. i know this sounds like i am just *****ing but i really just want to know.

It's a sad fact that you, and those who are like you, are viewed as an exception. I think throughout history there has been a little astigmatism towards hish school kids. We have all suffered from it.

Just let it pass and hopefully people will judge you for who you are. Heck, when I was in High School, I held down a full time job, and was even able to take some college courses.

Hang in there, and graduate!!

I'm with you, I'd bet most on this site don't know I'm only 18 and still in HS, but I also work a 35hr work week, take college courses and am attending ASU full time next year. to those who give us a bad name.

Enjoy your youth my friend. You will find that as you age, that some one will still look to you as too young or old, and afford no respect.

Just enjoy it. Does not matter the age of a person but their knowledge and wisdom. Press on with your life, make the goals you can attain, and go for it.

I am 44 and wish I could start all over again. Press on and enjoy your life.

like everyone said its a part of life....I only got it a little bit because I purchased my car in Soph year of highschool with my own money and paid cash up front...I got into the stock market at a young age and just got lucky and it paid off....As for now, Highschool is a breeze my friend...Im in college full time finishing up my soph year, I work 45 hrs a week and usually till 1am all while running my own house, paying all my bills and have a fulltime girlfriend...what bugs me most is why girls always ask "how come you never want to go out?"...maybe its cause I never get to sleep

Just hang in there, college only gets worse for working etc and its just a stereotype that doesn't go away....Cause facts show that highschool kids are more likely to steal and do stupid things...It may not be you, but I guarantee you have friends that have held up their stereotypical part of it ;)

That's funny. I knew everything when I was 18. It wasn't until much later that I realized what a dipshit I was. Age really will change the way you think. You will definitely learn a lot from the mistakes you haven't even made yet. I wouldn't discount your input because of your age, but I know that no matter how smart you think you are right now, even you will look back in ten years and ask yourself "how could I have been so naive?" That's life, and everyone eventually sees it the same way.

1st of all....Props to you for being smart with your $$....Not to many kids take the time to realize the value and the importance of a future. They always live for the right now.....So KUDOS!!

2nd lesson in life....Family and friends always come 1st...ALWAYS!!!!! You are young, enjoy life. If you care about your girl, then take the time away from work and let her know it. Take her out. Treat them great, cause it can be an awfully lonely life without a female companion. How the hell do you think I ended up with my wife....It wasn't my looks.....LOL

I'm also 17 and a junior in high school, i'd say that i'm a pretty good kid who makes decent grades, but i have been looked down on b/c i'm in high school and wear my pants baggy and my ford racing hat backwards but that doesnt mean i'm a bad kid, but on the other hand, i do have friends that hold up the stereotype. i love this website b/c the mustang isnt even mine, its my moms and people still give me respect and help me out with rank points and votes in face offs b/c i think that they can tell that i have a passion for mustangs and cars in general! anyways, thanks to everybody who votes for me and has checked out my website. - Bret

I agree totally....I learned that lesson early in life. When I was 13 my dad was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs disease and so all throughout highschool I took care of him and running the house 24/7 including cooking and cleaning so that my mom could concentrate on work and not the home life...I don't regret it one bit as it really taught me the value of friends, family and helping those less fortunate than I am.....

When I met my gf she was in foster care...since then I have helped her graduate from highschool (this June), have purchased her a car and taught her responsibility as well as the importance of the main things in life which are family and friends....This upcoming Sept she will be starting college, something she never dreamed of when she was a Soph in highschool with a D average....Now she has brought it up to a B+ and can continue on with her dreams which makes me very happy since I can see her succeed....My father passed away right before the start of my JR year in highschool, I was 16 and since that day I watched him pass away in the hospital I have kept to my promise of helping those around me and making sacrifices so that my friends and family can reach their full potential without having to worry about petty stuff such as money.....

My last achievement was I loaned someone a substantial amount of money so that he could purchase his first home....He now plans to move in with his gf and get married by the end of the year

As for my gf and I, we are inceperable and she always comes first in my life and always will....I get out of college in 2 yrs with a degree in criminal justice and hopefully I can get a job locally with a police department and continue to help those that are less fortunate than me and then I can pop the question :w00t:

A lot of people ask me why I want to become a police officer....I simply tell them because my father taught me to help those that need help, no matter what their background, no matter what they need and if me sacrificing my life so that they can continue on with theirs, well then thats what I was put on this earth to do

You are totally right...that doesnt make you a bad kid. I will tell you what I tell everyone else who doesnt like to be part of a stereotype....Prove those people wrong

You don't wear who you are on your sleeve....You are who you are because of your actions, how you treat others, and how you look at life..

Don't ever let someone get you down who judges you based on your looks, interests, or style...They are simply ignorant and missing out on the wide variety of individuals and opportunities that are present in everyday life

No, I was under the assumption that you didn't have air tools, so I didn't recommend the impact gun.
