camera is a Canon SLR Rebel Ti 35mm :lol: any advice on how to improve is welcome......

I love the first shot, you have great composition. The last shot however, drives me insane because it's not level. Always make sure that you have a level horizon.

Leveled the horizon for comparison:

Here's a photo I took of Gary Densham last summer @ 300mph.

The funny thing about your question, and this whole thread really is that my first SLR was the Rebel Ti. I sold it to my parents, then I bought an Elan 7n, and a 20D. The photograph of Densham's funny car was taken with my Elan 7n (35mm).

You'll love the 20D!
