Hey Guys and Gals, I have been talking with some members about the possibility of renting out a field or large parking lot for a weekend and getting together with everone on this site. I think it would be a cool way to bring mustangs together and also see each other in person and our cars. Please let us know what you think. If we can spark up a large interest, then maybe we can do this.
Im In. Let me know when and where... maybe we could all meet up at the dream cruise in detroit.

The Dreamcruise would be neat, but the problem there is the ammount of cars here. We would need make sure that we did something separate. There's not a ice cubes chance in hell that we'll get a parking lot that weekend. Perhaps we could do something the day after the cruise.

Well we did some seperate shit in a parking deck after the dream cruise last year...

Nobody. LOL this place blows. But if there is anybody in the TN GA NC SC area i think we might be able to meet up also. Give the people in this area a chance like that too.

there is the somerset ky cruise that happens on the last day of the month in the summer.i hear they draw a few thousand cars .i seen it on my classic car as well ,so i know its big.they close down the whole town for it

there is also the mustang show in indy .i know they let you drive on the track for that one as well.
There are 1.5 million people at the dreamcruise. Its the biggest cruise in the world.

Detroit is scary if you're white, downtown, and it's after 7:00 PM. Then be scared. Otherwise, just stay away from the Cass Corridor, and you'll be fine. Farmington is very expensive and rich.

There is a huge ford meet in June. Ford at Carlisle. I haven't been there yet, but would be a good place to meet. It is located in Carlisle, Pa.

Why not go to Detroit??? It's the mother ship to our cars. We can do the Henry Ford Museum and all that other neat stuff. Plus for the younger ones in our group, legal drinking age in Canada is 18... same for entry to tittie bars.

WOW man... people arent gonna drive 500 miles and wanna go bar hopping... thats what was wrong with our group last year. lol... When im driving 500 miles im spending as much time in the stang as possible. We have plenty of bars here in chicago...

Just putting another option of stuff to do out there. There's plenty to do around here as it is. Just driving over the boarder will be fun. There's plenty of tracks up here we can go have some fun at. Just let me know what you guys want to do.

What type of tape do you use to hold that down? Also, are those just garbage bags, or something specific?
Does that actually keep rocks off of yer paint? That plastic looks like rocks would tear right through that.

That is the same 3M plastic that new cars arrive to the dealers in. I used some 3M blue masking tape to keep the edges from flapping. That pic was taken prior to leaving for Atlanta from Cincy. It helped a ton. I also used it on the way back. Worked great.

What I would also like to do is get 3 representatives for each location... 1 for the midwest 1 for the east coast and 1 for the west coast... it would be their jobs to organize the shit each "year" or how often we wanna do it. Its a big job.. but some people like to be in charge of things like this.. they would be responsible for finding out costs for events / locations...etc. I think you get my drift.

im thinkin detroit would be a good place....my friends uncle lives there and has a big pimpin house i could stay at if i go....and my friend wanted to go stay there for a while this summer and take a couple friends along to hang out.
So basically i could kill two birds with one stone. Meet a bunch of you guys from the site, and hang out in a huge house too.

I live about 20 minutes from Woodward and J those are the guys in my car club Mtor-City Powerhouse, that's Saleen Adam's Taj Mahal lol...but yeah we are all getting together to go down there this year, we could join groups, I know we'd have about 15 or so cars

Tennessee is the only logical location.. It has the most states bordering it than any other state. (7) That's the reason the corvette anniversary and the mustang anniversary were just held here... YES, I'm biased..lol BUT, that doesn't weigh in on why I'm suggesting it... :cool:

OK I'm not sure just how my heaving at J's house got to be part of this thread, but I'm for as many gotstangers getting together in as many places across the country as possible. Fun Ford Weekends, the Dreamcruise, National Mustang Racing events, whatever. J should put up a calendar on this site so that we can all see what, when, and where possible events are, and then someone local to that area can suggest a meeting site and time, which can be posted for interested folks to travel to.
just my 2c +/- the puke stain on J's carpet, just outside his bathroom - Sorry J! :)
