Paid Holiday today, and it is dreary outside, so I can't work on the car. But you gotta love getting paid to sit on my ass and drink beer.

I wish I made $50 an hour. I only make 31.00 an hour. Plus this week I will have about 20 hours of overtime.

What really sucks is what I pay in taxes. I pay about 1200 a month in taxes.

You don't get OT on Holidays? Oh, you don't work holidays....can't shut the nuke plant down just because it's President's Day. You wanna hear about some OT? Check back with me when we work an Outage, 72hrs a week plus turnover time. That's some payday right there! All that on military training and a HS diploma...

It would be nice to have to work today. That would be about 60 and hour. Same with me too. Military training, studying, and getting the computer certifications helped.

Might be moving to overseas soon though. I have a nibble from a place in the sand area for 120k a year. That would pay off a bunch of bills and the mad money would go for a 96 Mystic I want to save from death

We never earn double time. Not directly anyway. If we work a holiday we get time and a half, then 8 more hours of straight pay for the holiday itself. We typically work 12.5 hour days, so only the fist eight is mad money, the last four is just typical OT. None of which sucks. Overseas in the sand is the last, (next to near a pole), that I'd ever want to work, no matter what the money is like.
