I always heard that on the essex they actually hurt performance unless in a forced induction situation. I knew that you were planning a blower in the future though.

Those look good, I remember I bought chrome ones for one of my 5.0s. I put them on and I was like "DAMN, those look good." I drove it for about an hour, popped the hood and went,"Damn, what happened?".:(

!! J you do realize headers on a v6 application will create a loss of power esp at top end! To much air flow for a 3.8l! Although, it will create more power when you use your nitrous! You only want headers if your running boost applications but i guess b/c of your nitrous its okay..

I needed to replace my stock headers (damaged).. so I got shorties. I will be blowing the car later on down the line... so no worries.
I just dropped it off at the shop this morning.. Jessica brought me to work :)

Hey Bruntzy -
I heard that you are is running a blower on a 4.6! Thats way too much air for that little thing, you'd better unbolt that eaton and overnight it to me quick before your engine pops like a balloon.

Just like women after you marry them.
After doing extensive research ... this should help the backpressure situation that bruntzy is claiming... Let me know if this is a good idea...
"O" Pipe
You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% backpressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Pipe shown is powdercoat black for car with DUAL EXHAUST. Not CARB Legal. Please specify Stainless or Powdercoat and also if you are using dual or single exhaust. 3" diameter.

Dont forget this
-Extra Strength Muffler Bearing-
Do you have an annoying rattling in your mufflers? Are they sagging a little? Don't quite sound right? That could be the symptoms of a worn muffler bearing. Allow me to introduce the KaleCo muffler bearing! It's unique iron-graphite composite with pre-grease-packed assembly provides over 200,000 miles of smooth muffler operation! It is most likely they will outlast your mufflers. Also works well on heavy duty exhaust systems. One per muffler.

You should turn your own wrenches on somethign like that. One thing i do not understand is that there is only 2 spots that you can hook it up to. so that means you woudl have to go from 2 headers to 1 pipe then out to one pipe then split that one pipe in to 2 then run to your cat back. Screw that. Just wait till you get blown. Do not bother with something like that. how often do you do a top end run anyway? Don't waste your money and that is the first "o" pipe i have seen a picture of.

OMG its a f$^&ing joke dude!!! Your car wouldn't run with an o-pipe!!!! LOL ROFL
This is just too funny....

The 3.8 actually flows a great deal of air and it's built for bottom end torque more so than top end, so headers should be good.
I would do port work on it, though... Along with the header install.
The cylinders in a 3.8 are naturally larger than a 4.6's, but I don't know about the ports... Does anyone have side by side pics to compare?

3.8mustang.com go there look up headers on a non boosted v6 or stroked and your 100% going to loose power
