I have had the TriAx in the car for many years and love it, one of the best mods I have done to date.

gotta go with MGW. I would say that most people are gonna say to go with a pro 5.0 but thats cause the MGW is a pretty new design.

B&M Ripper here.

Pro 5.0 , Tri Axe..all are good. You will like the feel after you get rid of the ShoeHorn that ford installs.

like i said i would give it time before you buy if you are waiting on reviews. everybody has the pro 5.0 but not many peopel have tried the mgw. I have the pro 5.0 i do not think it is that big of a diffrence to buy a whole new shifter but i will say that if i was buying them i would go MGW all the way.

which one is the cheapest...(im poor)

both are about the same price. i've had both shifters personally. Pro 5.0 is great for that old skool technoligy. MGW has the shortest throw, has NO "CLANKY" Noise, +shifting and is the most comfortable shifter i'vew ever used. Even if it is 10 or 20 bucjs more it's worth every penny of it. I will never go back to another shifter after i've used that.

my .02

we can get both. But MGW is my personal pref.

I've got the Pro 5.0 'power tower' shifter. It was around 160-170 dollars and worth every cent...third gear never felt so good!!!! It has a toggle switch feel. (clicks into gear) Pictured below with the Classic Design 'running pony' T-Handle.

MGW definately...George(owner) is actually a very active member at FP, and i've seen tons of pre production parts to prototype pics, to vids, pics, etc.

the tri-ax/5.0 were the shifter to get up until last summer. MGW's shifter sets the new standard in the shifter market. if you've seen how one is pieced together you all would agree also. i tried finding pics for references but i guess george deleted them from his mustangmods account.

anyway, anything other than an MGW shifter is a waste of $$

:nya: Go with what the blow buy says if a race use it there is a reson for that and sence he has a shop and is willing to sell them there has to be a reson pro 5.0 is now old school if you will sorry to say but if you not up 2 date you will never win

Gunna hafta say MGW, quite and shortest throw, tri ax is good but loud and they have tendencies to break, 5.0 never used!

That MGW is definitely a different looking shifter. Maybe one in the future. I'm fine for now.

I've run the B&M Ripper since 96. It won't break, it's all business. Doesn't friggin matter what shifter you buy, get one with stiff springs to make sure 2nd to 3rd shifts go exactly as planned and one that has positive stops so you don't bend shift forks.

I actually think it is from pole position, but I guess it would work in a hybrid too:)
