I am waiting to see what they really do with the new cobras to see if mine will still be around. I have been without a payment for 3 years and don't know if I want one again

After my payments are done in 4 months. My money is going to be saved to save a Mustang from history. There is a guy in the local area who has a 96 Mystic that has been very neglected.

I'm going to give him cash and save the baby. Poor car

I'm sure that mine will be paid off some time before I retire. lol.
But if things work out, next summer I'm hoping to start on a foose-like custom 66 vert. :j:

I bet it will be awesome too. To take something and give it back it's glory is a gift

Some chrome 03 Cobra's would look really nice on your car...

IMO, I'd rather build the motor to be a decent performer before adding a s/c. The resultant power levels will be about the same either way you go (blower on a stock motor or fire breathin H/C/I) Then when you add a s/c later on...whoa now, 500hp club. The H/C/I route is comparable in cost as well (and it'll tell the guy next to you at the light to go piss off)

Yeah, that IS a good thing.. Helps avoid the whole axle blowing up on the launch syndrome. :D

It's nice not having a payment. havent had one in 4 yrs. the new SVT would have to be incrediable to make me want to get into a payment again.

well the rears in the machs arent that much stronger...who knows if the new rears will be even weaker

The new edge cars are wider than Foxes, but from a construction standpoint they aren't really any different. Axles are a tad longer is all. Longet axles should be able to absorb more torque before breaking. Why would the new 8.8's be any weaker? 31 splines would be a nice factory touch though...

01 cobras come with a 28 spline right?

I don't know that any Mustangs came with 31 spline axles. I won't swear to it, but I think the 05 has stepped up to 31's.
