I have to ask though, could you openly refuse? That would kind of give the other person a victory anyway. Just my $.02.

its all supost to be fun not loaded. Those people who do that are sad if you ask me. Its a web site get over it were supost to be firends and help each others out with nolage and info not stab each othe. This is not a steet race for 2000 plus not that i would know how that goes. If you want to beat me set it up on the street or at a show have some balls about yourself dont do it on a web site. This is for fun and help not who is top king

I agree with you about the stacking of the votes. But that's the nature of competition. It's not right, but in the end that's what happens. Like what Friday did. I made a simple joke, which I do all the time(and which I thought was clear), and I get attacked for being a V6, for actually having my own taste in mods, and for making rather than buying my parts. That had nothing to do with the conversation, but the nature of competition caused it to become a one-up contest for him. That's just the nature of the human beast. I tried to stop it by not trying myself.
I agree with you about the ask first thing, but I was just saying, that it's bad face to refuse unless you have a good reason. Like, if it were a stock car against say coops that has god knows how much modification into it. I think it's a good idea if only to keep the contest face to face and honorable.

also it isn't fair if the cars aren't even on the same level. I was challenged buy some one who put a lot more money into their car than I have. My car wasn't even competitive with his. He got all the votes. I think the challenges should be within a certin number of our gotstang.com ranks or some thing a long those lines

I was thinking something like this too.... You can only challenge someone if they are within 100 votes... up or down... this might bring the challenges closer together..

But think about the new user signing up... he can only challenge the lower end of the ranks... which would make sense but that person is still gonna own the lesser cars and you have the same situation.

I think your on the right track J.

What we have to realize is that this is totally new and people are just having fun with it.

Look at the new post I started in this section.

Now that I think of it. Maybe the answer is splitting into sections of 25. Meaning, only the top 25 can challenge in that group, then 26-50, etc.

Just a thought.

I agree, I am just having fun now, but I can see what others are saying about the challenges. Lets be fair and set some kind of ground rules. This way we might think about who we challenge and not gang up on those we know we could beat. Above all, lets keep it fun.

I say that the top few should be in a class and the rest in a class. Or do it by a up and down ratio of GS points. But 100 is not that big of a diffrance when you think about it. I mean that is 2 face offs maxed out. Just food for thought.
